Designer Choice - Venetian Plastering

as seen in the 2009 Bucks County Designer House

Spring is especially beautiful in Bucks County Pennsylvania, and even more so when the annual fundraiser of the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown unveils its annual Designer Show House and Gardens fundraiser to benefit Doylestown Hospital.

Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering collaborated with Bella Pintura and Gracious Living Interiors to turn an empty, run-down drawing room at Upper Mountain Farm into an elegant "Portrait Salon" just off the main foyer entry. After repairing badly cracked plaster walls and ceilings,

Veneshe applied Marmorino Venetian plaster to the walls and over a new, custom built fireplace mantel that included a poured plaster detail trim.

A mercury-glass effect using the eglomise technique was added to the fireplace surround, and all wood trim was repainted and given a soft color wash. Even the gilded mirror over the fireplace was given a plaster wash to soften and age the look.
