April 4, 2010 -- While spring bulbs begin to make their show, preparations for another show of dazzling beauty are underway in the tiny Bucks County town of Furlong, Pennsylvania. Nestled within 100 acres of rolling pastures this magnificent working equestrian farm is home to the 2010 Bucks County Designer House & Gardens, sponsored by the Village Improvement Association (V.I.A.) of Doylestown.
Veneshe Master Venetian Plastering in collaboration with Bella Pintura, whose creative interior design for a yoga room was accepted by the design committee, began work in early March. Designers were asked to respond to submit concepts that featured environmentally-friendly products and techniques as part of their design, a perfect fit with Veneshe's focus on using only non-toxic,natural Italian plasters and pigments. Many other talented interior designers and landscapers are also at work renovating, restoring and remodeling this working equestrian estate.
The V.I.A., founded in 1895, is the only women's club in the country to own and operate a community hospital. This annual project benefits Doylestown Hospital and selected V.I.A. community causes. The largest portion of funds raised will be used to support the expansion of a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department at the hospital.
The opening date for the 2010 Show House is May 2 and the event runs through May 30th. Yoga instructor Ruth Bishop Vargo will be on hand in the Yoga Room to introduce visitors to this gentle, empowering practice. Tickets may be purchased online or at selected Bucks County locations.
