Veneshe was selected again to design a wine room for this spectacular Bucks County field stone manor home and gardens. More than 30 design areas complete this property, which is situated on 15 acres with a meandering stream, 2 acre pond, 7 fireplaces, 2 master suites and vaulted ceilings. The Designer Show House is an annual fundraiser for the Village Improvement Association (V.I.A.) of Doylestown to benefit the Doylestown Hospital.
"The Vintner's Corner" is an initmate wine room situated downstairs opposite the Media Room. It features handcrafted furnishings and decorative items, in addition to stunning Italian plaster finishes and paintings. Lori Blomstrom of Veneshe collaborated with artist Holly-Fields Scott of Bella Pintura to design the Tuscan wine room and create the art and finishes.
Woodworker Destry Hafner worked with Veneshe to build custom wine storage, the Pennsylvania blue stone wine tasting bar and decorative turnings.
Of particular note are Veneshe's handcrafted mosaic mirror and Bella Pintura's stunning trompe l'oeil painting on Italian plaster. A hand painted floor cloth, whimsical wine bottle holders and wood bottle stoppers, and an olive leaf mosaic clock add finishing touches.
Spending a day at the Bucks County Designer House is a great way to enjoy the beauty of spring in the Pennsylvania countryside, and see a lovely example of Veneshe's work. Tickets are $25 at the door; and $20 for 62+. Children 10 and older are welcome.
